Conrad Dangerous Version 2.5 is up for download.
I fixed up the programming a bit and it runs faster now. BTW if the game runs slowly try turning off the backgrounds by pressing "b".
Also fixed up some graphical glitches.

I have renamed the game back to Conrad Dangerous. The reasons I had changed the name to Rick Dangerous 3 were firstly to simplify the storyline because I had to come up with this saga where Conrad was Rick's brother and it just seemed to make more sense at the time to just make the blue guy Rick himself. And secondly to make it easier for Rick Dangerous fans to find the game. In hindsight, it was a mistake. The game was not originally designed to be Rick 3, and in my mind he always remained Conrad.

Rick Dangerous 3 Version C is up for Download.
The graphics looked too wide which I've fixed and it looks much better now.
Also removed the glow on the score.

Rick Dangerous 3 Version B is up for Download.
Added backgrounds.
Added the jump sound effect.
Press "b" to toggle backgrounds on/off.
Press "m" to toggle the currently playing song on/off.

I'm experimenting with adding backgrounds into the levels to get rid of the black space.The game certainly looks much better with them. I should have a version with backgrounds done by tomorrow.
I also added the jump sound effect.

I've put Rick Dangerous 3 version A up for download. Get it in the Download section.
I included four music tracks by Mick Rippon in the game and they sound fantastic.
I'm not completely satisfied with the sound effects yet so I will probably be changing them around and adding more in the near future.

Mick Rippon, the best mod maker around, has given me permission to use his music in Rick 3 :D

I'm now working on implementing mod playing into Rick 3.
Update: I got the mods to play. Now I'm choosing which tracks to include in the game.
I also added the Rick logo into the game when the menu displays.

Learnt DirectSound and implemented it into Rick Dangerous 3. Took me quite a few hours but I had to learn how to do it one day.
So far I have put the Waaa! sound effect in, and I changed the midi music to play with DirectMusic instead of using the Windows MCI as I was before.
